“On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work.”

Genesis 2:2

As a faith-based entrepreneur, you should approach business with the mindset that everything you will ever need to succeed is already created by God, no matter how far-fetched it seems.

This assurance is gotten from the book of Genesis which records that God finished his work of creation on the 6th day. That means that He has created everything man will ever need on earth.

This is the faith you stand on as a Christian entrepreneur that distinguishes you from the rest of the world. God also made man to be fruitful in whatever he does.

“God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it…””

Genesis 1:28

Everything man creates is made from what God has already created at the beginning. No man can make anything from nothing, only God does that. Even the things we do not see now but will be seen later is already created.

The book of Hebrews says the world was made out of what was not seen (invisible).

“By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command so that what is seen was not made out of what is visible.”

Hebrews 11:3

This means that everything created was first invisible on earth, which may have been visible in the heavenly places. God only had to speak the word to make the invisible visible on earth.

“The unseen is already seen in the heavens but for it to be seen on earth, the word has to be spoken to bring it forth.”

As a faith-based entrepreneur growing your business needs your faith in practice. You speak the word on how you want our business to be, hence the need for a clear vision.

Of course, there are times where things will not multiply as promised in the bible. In fact, things might even crash but you still have to hold on to your faith.

We can learn from Abraham’s story, God called Abraham to leave his father’s house to a new land and God promised to bless him in the new land. However, there came a time of famine in the new land which made Abraham move to Egypt for a while.

The question you may ask is, “Did God fail in His promise to bless Abraham?” Not at all.

The challenging season faith-based people go through in the midst of God’s promise, make them understand the existence of the evil one trying hard to make them abort their faithfulness to God. Learn how to overcome the devil schemes in this post.

I believe God allows those challenges to remind us that this earth is not our permanent destination. And also to remind us that we need to fully depend on Him to sustain us through till eternity.

At the cross, Jesus said, “It is finished”. Besides the salvation meaning to that phrase, it also means that the power of the devil to oppress God’s children without authority is finished. God has given back the authority to man to cast and bind the devil on earth through Jesus Christ.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 18:18
Moreover, Faith always works as long as you apply it with the word of God.

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Romans 10:17

You have to know God’s word concerning every situation in your business, so you will know what is God’s reward or rebuke in that situation.

For example, it’s pointless to have faith for God to expand your business when you are mistreating your employees. The word of God clearly tells us how to treat those who work for us. Kindly check out this post on prayer for business, it will help you to pray appropriately in the business.

As a faith-based entrepreneur, you need to run your business in truth and integrity. Then, whatever you ask the Lord, it will be done.

Don’t be shy to ask God for what He already promised since the world began. When you ask with conviction then you shall receive it. As written in James;

“But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord”

James 1:6-7

Takeaway: Truly, God has finished His work for what we will need to succeed in business. Even in difficult times, be steadfast in your faith that your business will multiply as long as you abide in the Lord and His word.
